Testimonial from a Cooperation Partner
They wanted to thank us for the rescued food that we regularly provided to them.
We suggested that they might write us a short testimonial, even with mistakes, so they would not feel inhibited if their language skills were not yet perfect.
On their last day, they presented us with a handwritten reference text on a large 50 x 50 cm piece of cardboard, see photo.
For better readability, we typed out the text again and deliberately left it in its original form.
"Dear Anika and Gregor, It is the afternoon, school has finished, and normally the children would be tired and low on energy. But in our course today, things are different. Thanks to your generous donation, the beginning of each course turns into a colorful buffet with fresh and sweet treats. As an intern, I can witness how learning changes from a ‘must’ into something joyful. We interns would like to thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Through your food support, the children receive fresh fruit and vegetables. They are very happy about this, because they can eat healthy food and feel full. You can clearly see how happy it makes them."
We are deeply moved. Collecting, transporting, sorting, making coffee, moderating distribution, organizing, having conversations, sweeping and cleaning up often leaves us little time to see what our work actually achieves.
This small report shows us how right our path is. Between the lines, entire worlds open up to us that we might not even notice, but that are indeed there.
